setting up your adverts
The first step is setting up your account. You will be asked for the following:
- Name
- Email address
- Postcode (Invoicing)
- Password
You will then receive an email to confirm your account. Once you have done this you will be able to log on to your self-administration account and start to add your adverts.
To add your first advert you need to insert a postcode into the ‘Add a new property’ section and press ‘Next’. You will then be presented with the Add new property details’ page The following information will be required:
- Select an address from the drop down menu, this will populate the displayed address which can be changed
- Optional Sub district – for example Aspley Guise
- Post town/District – for example Milton Keynes
- Property Type. The options are:
- Retail
- Office
- Industrial
- Storage
- Land
- Other
- Brief description, this is what is displayed on the advert, for example:
- Industrial unit
- Serviced office space
- Light business unit
- Business unit
- Storage space
- Size in sqft
- Max Size (if different) this allows you to add a range in/ Put the smallest size unit in Size and the Max Size in Max and this will show a size range
- Rent PA, this must be added to ensure the property appears in the relevant searches but can be hidden
- POA/Hide rental price, click this if you do not want potential tenants to see the rental price
- Freehold Price, this must be added to ensure the property appears in the relevant searches but can be hidden
- POA/Hide freehold price, click this if you do not want potential tenants to see the freehold price
- Availability, The options are:
- Available
- Let
- Check Availability
- Under Offer
- Sold
- Bullet points, add key elements about the property. They need to be short as they appears as bullet points on the advert itself
- More Details, use this to write a description of the unit and give as much details as possible. Good areas to cover are:
- Minimum Lease term/Flexibility
- Rates
- Service charges
- Security
- Access
- Services onsite:
- Water & Electric
- Gas
- Accessibility (Shutter doors, vehicle access, internal unit etc)Toilets
- Kitchen
- Mezzanine floor
- Usage details D1, B2 etc
- List of units available if multiple
- What is included in the rental/sale price
- Types of business/usage that are not accepted, car business, food preparation etc
Contact details then need to be added if these are different to those on the main account page. Once you have filled in all of the information required you need click on the ‘Update- View listing and Update photos.
The property is now listing and you will be taken to a section where you can add up to 4 images. To do list you click under each of the 4 boxes ‘Upload Photo’ Find the photo location on your computer, make any changes you need to and upload.
