December is a time for celebration! It’s a time for giving. So let’s give a massive shout out to the UK’s brilliant small businesses – each and every one is at the heart of Britain’s successes. They may be small firms but they all make a big difference.
The annual celebration of the UK’s 5.8million small firms is on Saturday, December 7th. It’s Small Business Saturday. This brilliant initiative raises awareness and highlights the importance of buying goods and services from our small businesses. And it’s not just a one-day flash in the pan gimmick, it’s about supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs all year long.
There’s no doubting the public support for small businesses. An estimated £812million was spent on the 2018 Small Business Saturday.
Networking opportunities are boosting this vital sector of the economy. Indeed, Boxpod was established to provide a platform for landlords and potential tenants to connect without hefty joining fees and admin charges. Boxpod remains true to its roots, helping small businesses find the workspace they need – affordable and flexible office space, workshops, shops or storage units to rent.
With British consumers expected to spend £5.6billion on Black Friday and Cyber Monday and despite an increase in online shopping, a PwC study has found that 75% of consumers like human interaction as part of their digital journey – chatbots and customer service agencies are coming to the fore.
Customer experience is at the heart of Britain’s small businesses. Here’s to all the people who make a difference. Thanks.
